First Finance Completes Manuals of Policies and Procedures |

|
First Finance Company completed its project of “Manuals of Policies and Procedures”
for all departments and sections. These manuals will be put into effect right after
the Board of Directors’ approval. This project, for sure, constitutes a genuine
quality move in the fields of governance, internal control and quality performance.
It also represents a practical guide for standards of performance and achievement.
At the same time, it helps the Company save time and efforts.
Here are the stages of the project:
* The Board’s decision to seek help of some specialized consultant companies.
* Signing an agreement with KPMG to prepare the manuals.
*Holding several planned meetings with concerned departments to introduce the state
of procedures and work as seen in the Company.
* Bringing the draft of the project to completion.
* Forming a committee, chaired by the Company’s Executive President, in order to
evaluate the draft of the manuals.
* Holding sixteen meetings to discuss and review the drafts completely.
* Co-ordination with consultants in order to put the committee’s notes into effect.
* Directors’ approval of the revised drafts of the manuals.
*The Committee’s final approval of the project. |

As a result, the following thirteen manuals came into existence:
1- Facilities
2- Collection
3-Administrative Affairs
4- Financial Affairs
5-Legal Affairs
6-Marketing and Development
7- Risks
8- Shari‘ah Supervision
9- Governance
10- Compliance
11- Money Laundering
12- Treasury
13- Investment
The manuals have been specially prepared to (1) fit the Company’s performance methodology,(2)
develop work , (3) achieve the Board’s goals,(4) represent the Company’s logo concerning
simplicity and flexibility,(5) be Shri‘ah compliant, and (6)abide by the directions
of Qatar Central Bank. |
