F.F.C. Signs Cooperation Agreement with Regency Travels

F.F.C. has signed a cooperation agreement with Regency Travels. Under this agreement,
F.F.C. will finance its customers’ travels via Regency Travels in accordance with
Shari’ah –compliant monthly installment system.
This agreement has come within summer promotions campaign 2009. It is exclusively
between F.F.C. and Regency Travels entitled:” My Travels via Easy installment”.
According to this agreement, F.F.C. will finance its customers’ travels as follows:
1- Minimum limit for each transaction is Q.R. 5000.
2 – Three-month grace period (optional).
3 – Thirty-six –month finance period.
4- There will be no advance payment.
5- There will be no sponsor (subject to customer’s credit situation).
6- Easy procedures and fast performance.
7- The customer’s salary should be Q.R. 4000 at least.
8- No charges.

The agreement was signed by Khalid al-Sulaiti, the Executive President of F.F.C.,
and Tariq ‘Abdullateef, the Executive President of Regency Travels, in the presence
of Mr. Hamad al-Muhannadi, the F.F.C. Administrative Director, Mr. Yusuf al’Awadi,
the Director of Commercial Facilities, Mr. ‘Abdul Hameed Abu Ghazalah, the Director
of Marketing and Development, Mr. Mu’taz al-Maslookhi, the supervisor of Commercial
Relations , Mr. Rabee’ ‘Aitani, the Supervisor of Media and Public Relations, and
Mr. Sayyid Auj Khalil, the Manager of Marketing and Sales of Regency Travels.
Having signed the agreement, both parties held a press conference at the headquarters
of F.F.C. Dr. Khalid al-Sulaiti expressed his happiness about cooperation between
the two companies, indicating that it is not the first time to conclude an agreement
with Regency, hoping that this agreement will help travelers during the coming season
and wishing prosperity to the two parties.

He confirmed that: “F.F.C. is committed to the distinguished performance in order
to strengthen relations via concluding various cooperation agreements with excellent
vendors: its true partners in success.”
On his part, Tariq ‘Abdullateef, the Executive President of Regency Travels, thanked
F.F.C. for the confidence it placed in Regency Travels, hoping that a great number
of people will benefit from the different global distinct services, airlines and
hotels, offered by Regency Travels.
At the press conference, Mr. ‘Abdullateef stated: “ Most travelers are heading for
Makka the Ennobled, countries of the Middle East, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand
and India. This season witnesses “25%” fare decrease on some airlines. Business
sales have strongly increased by 40%.
On the other side, Mr. al-Sulaiti confirmed that: “F.F.C. is committed to producing
simple procedures and easy payments without any extra charge, pointing out to the
growth of the Company’s capital from Q.R. 50.000.000 in 1999 to Q.R. 100.000.000
in 2001, due to increase of demand for its quality and Shari‘ah-compliant services
and products, in addition to contribution to the growth of the national economy.”
He explained that: “The Company has been mainly established for the sake of meeting
the needs of consumers and exploring available opportunities in the financial fields
of Qatari Economy such as automobiles, consumer services and commercial deals via
producing an Islamic substitute for the present traditional finance. So, the Company
got benefit from others’ experience and started its new steps in the filed of Islamic
finance depending on a chosen group of economists and businessmen in its board of
directors , well-qualified staffers and the contribution of excellent shareholders,
in addition to the use of the most modern technological systems.”
“The Company’s finance plan is characterized by flexibility and honoring the peculiarity
of Qatar’s situation if we compare it with other plans in the same field. This,
in turn, enables such a plan to (1) provide fast services to customers, (2) to facilitate
procedures, (3) to avoid any additional charges, and (4) to be committed to transparency.”
He added.
Mr. al-Sulaiti has also pointed out to the fact that: “The Company offers distinct,
effective and competitive services to its clientele within full and complete Shari‘ah
– compliant regulations in order to demonstrate a genuine Islamic substitute for
the traditional finance. This, for sure, qualifies it to be among the leading institutions
in the field of Islamic finance as it is managed by a chosen board of directors,
experienced shareholders and well-qualified staff.This is in addition to the use
of most modern technologies, ongoing training and striving to achieve the best financial
results to the shareholders.”
Furthermore, “Since the Company is keen on demonstrating a true picture of Islamic
economy, it is supervised by a group of famous and high-qualified Shari‘ah Scholars,
who are required to verify that each and every transaction is Shari ‘ah – compliant.
The resident Shari ‘ah consultant supervises the performance of all transactions.”
